I’ll start by looking at the witness statements. Still to this day, people are unsure as to how and why they ventured so far into a densely wooded area, part way off the beaten track. Nor was all the evidence located at the same time or grouped close together. Sadly, parts of the remains of the girls were found in the months after their disappearance. They’d been hiking in Boquete, in the western region of Panama 2, which, at the time, was said to be one of Panama’s safer regions. ![]() Two Dutch hikers, Kris Kremers and Lisanne Froon, were first reported missing 1 by a tour guide, when they’d missed their appointment with a tour guide on the morning of April 2 nd 2014 3. This case, from April 2014, is quite recent.
